Are there any technical issues with taking my 32 GB SD card from the EVO 4G and sticking it in the EVO 3D before I turn it on the first time?

Wouldnt see why their would be.
Never knew you could use your Evo fine with no SD card even in it?
It just stores app data/apps/personal user content. Not needed for the phone to actually function as a phone

From what I've read, there are "things" on the 3D card out of the box. One is a 3D movie, for example. I don't think anything important to operate the phone is on the card, but I'm going to copy the stock 3D card to my 4G card initially (if that makes sense).

Suprisingly the phone came with a Sandisk 8GB card. I swapped mine out with a Sandisk 32GB card.

Here's what I plan to do:

  1. Bring in my laptop and 2 microSD-to-USB readers to the Sprint store.
  2. Copy everything from the 8 GB card to my 32 GB card (hopefully before activation - I guess that will depend on how busy the store is).
  3. Put the 32 GB card in the phone & turn it on.

Here's what I did:

I copied the .data and 3D Sample Pics folders from the 8GB card that came with the EVO 3D to my 32GB card that I had in the EVO 4G. I then just put the 32GB in the 3D. The .data folder contains "The Green Hornet", which worked fine this morning after experiencing reported license issues yesterday.

So, no problems.
