Moving "unmovable" stuff to sd (internals full) Tab 4 8.0

Hello. My t337a (tab 4) seems to only like putting stuff on its internal memory because most apps etc doesn't let me "move to sd" in the app settings. Needless to say, my internal is getting quite full yet my SD card has alot of free space. I know (a few years ago at least) on alot of phones you need to root them (for about everything, lol) and then it's simple to fix.

Would that work for this tablet (is that probably my best option - which I don't mind doing)?
What apps (or instructions on what to do) do I need?

My son is having the same issue. I rooted a few months ago, b/c he couldn't use the thing at all. I was hoping for a Marshmallow ROM that would allow the SD card to become internal storage.

But at the time, there was no Marshmallow ROM I could find.

Today, I looked again, and found this- Update Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 On Android Marshmallow.

Has anybody tried it??
