So when trying to transfer MP3 files (drag/drop, copy/paste) into the any section of the SD card (Android folder, Lost.Dir, root folder) I get the following:

SD card is formatted and mounted and the "Transfer Media" selection is on the phone. Any ideas on how to fix this? I used Air Droid which worked but it appears to have put it on the phone itself.

I'm also getting this error when I look at the SD card sometimes:

What if you Unmount the card (in Settings>Storage), remove it, and insert it directly into the computer?

You could have a faulty sd card. I had a 64gb micro card which worked fine then all of a sudden it wouldn't let the camera save photos to the card and wouldn't play mp3 files. I couldn't do anything with it so had to replace the card and everything was fine after that....... annoying but these things happen from time to time...... or it could be a faulty cable thats not connecting properly.

OK, I just tried a brand new micro SD card (64 gb) straight out of the package (formatted and mounted) and am still unable to transfer files. I tried copying over some folders and it stated it could not copy them. I also tried some pictures off my computer from my camera and the same thing happened. This seems to be a phone issue, not a PC or card issue. Are there any drivers I should download? I have the latest Samsung drivers installed. Should I install Google drivers?

Also, on Air Droid, is there a way to select where to place the files? (ie, phone or SD card) I could only find how to place on the phone itself.

What to do? I can provide any screenshots necessary.

Can you confirm that both of those cards work fine if you insert the card itself into the computer's reader and transfer the files?

When you plug the phone into the computer via USB, are you swiping down the notification panel, tapping the USB icon, and making sure that MTP is selected?

I really doubt this, but you're not setting the SD card as adoptable storage, are you?

Nope, not adoptable storage. And yes, I am choosing MTP (it's the first choice). Cards in PC confirmed below:

I stuck the 200 gb card into another PC on its own and it said the card had errors. I let the computer fix them, then transferred files to the card with zero issues. I also plugged in the 200 gb card via USB (from phone) into the computer AFTER that and transferred as well with no issues (except for the message asking me if I wanted to convert to .m4a)

I plugged the phone with the 64 gb card into that same ^^^^ PC and it gave me a message telling me MP3s probably wouldn't play, and did I want to convert everything to .m4a. I said "no" and transferred the files via USB.

I plugged the phone via USB back into the original computer that was giving me issues. This is what I see now (only one folder actually appears...the rest are unable to be accessed):

So is this a PC issue? Both are running Windows 10. The one that recognized the phone is a newer, very cheap laptop. The one that doesn't is a custom built desktop.

UPDATE: Got the computer and files to recognize, transferred some folders....it got through about 3 songs and then crashed on me and stated it could not continue to copy the files.
