MP4 downloads stopping half way through the download on my S7

[AC Question]

Been downloading MP4 videos for months with no issues. All of a sudden when downloading mp4 files through Chrome the download stops half way through. I have over 10G free space on the internal storage so i don't think that's the problem. I can download the same file over and over but just the first half before it stops. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Is it only with one file, or with any file? Is it with just one website or with multiple sites? Does the same thing happen with wi-fi and mobile data?

So far it's been with one website but multiple files from that site. I noticed that the download stops at 2gb. The files are about 3.5 gb large. I only use Wi-Fi when download files of that size.

Try going to the App Manager, select Download Manager, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. (You might have to tap Menu>Show System to see it.) Also, clear Chrome's app cache as well.

I know it's been a long time since you've posted this message but I was just wondering if your problem has been resolved as I have been having the same problem.
