I use Aquamail, it works great for reading emails, but I can't set up an outgoing sever for some reason. But the UI is quite nice in Aquamail, that's why I like it.

I have been using Aqua mail. 2 accounts. One a Yahoo, one Godaddy. Receives and sends fine. Highly customizable, new app with growth potential. Dev is very responsive, fixes issues weary quickly.

The native email app (not gmail) is lacking in functionality, such as select all, delete all... If you get a lot of emails that are throwaways, this becomes a pain. The other issue with the native app is often it doesn't know how to display inline images. Aqua handles all this just fine.

Aqua has a website with FAQs, and other support info.

It is free for 2 email accounts. Give it a try. You might like it.
