MS Word Update on Note 5 only allows inking/drawing with pen

My Samsung Note 5 recently received an update to MS Word. After the update the S-Pen will only allow drawing/inking when I try to use it within the Word environment. How do I change this behavior?

Could you provide a little more detail? Is the S Pen not working on anything except Microsoft Word? I would suggest deleting the app then re-adding it to see if that fixes your problem.
