Multi Task button question

Is there an app out there that can change the function of this button slightly? I'd like if I just tap it to go directly into the previous app like alt-tab on windows and then if I hold bring up the recent app list. I might not be looking up the right sort of thing, but I haven't seen an app that does this.

sounds like something for a custom ROM. i dont think an app would even be able to do this.
interesting idea though.
