Multi window on Galaxy Tab 3

I have the 8 also. It's definitely the best of the three. Now I got my eyes on the tab pro 8.4 that's coming out soon. That thing looks like a beast of a tablet!

Haven't seen it, so now I need to check it out! 😉

I am trying to figure out if and how the multi window works on the Tab3?
I have the 10.1 and can't seem to find the setting anywhere to turn it on.
However Samsung tweeted this earlier- Watch "Galaxy Tab 3 - Multi Window" on YouTube

Is it possible? Does anyone else here have it on their Tab 3?

Totally agree with you man.
Everytime I am bouncing back and forth between apps on my Tab, I can't help but think that I would be so better off with multi window. Especially, with a frigging 10.1 inch screen!

The 10.1 has a fast chip but it got nerfed so hard. Needs about 2GB of working memory to do multi window, but the fact of being an x86 device may also have influenced the feature cut.

I am speaking from a parallel uni, on an att sam gt3 7.0 / sm t217a with multi window straight from the box. I want my kit-kat! My tab came out sept. 15 with 4.2.2 maybe thats why I have multi window. Not bad for a 99.00 unit.

It's practically a monster for the money, heck my T217S was free with at least a $5/mo placeholder data plan.

Do not pray for KK, it seems to have a pile of random issues yet.

The Sprint version is remarkably flexible for a budget tab. And I've yet to figure out why any manufacturer in this modern era puts in a whiz-bang processor and then chintzes a unit on RAM. The processor is the engine, but RAM is the track, and who wants power that doesn't have room to run?

Yeah the 10.1 got chimped badly by that 1GB nonsense, even 1.5GB is much more reliable.

Sadly, it seems to relate to the specific build number of the Tab 3 10.1 - Later build editions are touting the multi-window feature - This UK build seems to have it - http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/mobile-devices/tablets/tablets/GT-P5210ZWABTU - Mine is a P5210-"XX"-?????? and NOT P5210-"ZW" - and there is no such feature. :'(

This is an AWESOME feature! I was trying to add other apps to the list but apparently I can't. Is this true or can you add any icon to the list of the multi-window? I noticed it added another app of mine but there is an app that's not listed that I want to add so I can jump back and forth. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

There is an app in the Play store that will allow this as well. But it does require root access. I used it for a while on my Note 10.1, but 1 main reason I wanted it was to keep running Netflix and we other things at the same time. For some reason it would just lock up Netflix. Oh well. Worked for many other apps though. Wish I could remember the name.

Pretty sure you can only add apps that have multi-window functionality embedded. That said, head over to xda-developers (Android Forums & Windows Phone Discussion @ xda-developers) and Search. IIRC, some one there created an app to allow pretty much any app to have multi-window. Can't recall if it was for Note 10.1 or GT 3 but probably worth checking.
