Hi

I have been using multicon, but have recently had to do a factory reset. I'm a complete novice at this sort of stuff, so my phone is not rooted. When I tried to go back and add a bookmark as one of my multicon widgets, they option was no longer there. I have tried to contact the developers three times, but no reply. Can anybody tell me how I can do this? Or recommend something like multicon that can?

Thanks

Ps I'm using a galaxy s2 on jelly bean.

Welcome to Android Central! Is there any reason you prefer Multicon over simply creating folders on your homescreen by dragging one shortcut on top of another?

Hi, thanks. Yes, I like to be able to see all my most used apps without having to go into folders. I find it much more space saving and convenient. :-)

Ok, so I installed Multicon on my Nexus 7 to test it out for you. It worked for me as follows:

1. Go to the Widgets section of the App Drawer.
2. Long-press and drag one of the Multicon widgets to the homescreen.
3. Tap the Multicon widget.
4. Tap the Shortcuts button at the top center.
5. Tap Bookmark.
6. Now choose one of your bookmarks.

And there you go. Are you not seeing the Shortcuts button or the Bookmark selection? I'm using Chrome.

OH MY GOD YOU ARE THE BEST! I was using the stock internet browser, and the bookmark option wasn't available under shortcuts, and I just installed chrome and chrome bookmarks are. THANK YOU! XXX

B.D.,

Yes I am using multicon...I saved bookmarks with "Crome, Opera and the system browser in hopes one of them would trigger the bookmark option to appear in multicon shortcuts. Didn't happen...

And you already followed the steps I mentioned earlier in this thread? Do you get to Step 4, but then can't find a Bookmarks selection?

Hey BD,
yes , when I get to step 4 and tap "shortcuts"... "bookmarks" is not in the list of choices!?!?

Just tried it again on my Nexus 6P. "Book" is the icon for bookmarks. I'm not sure why you don't see that. Can you show a screenshot of the Shortcuts list?

Nope.... "book" opens google play and shows a list of novels in my library....

Multicon on my phone(os4.0.3) says "Bookmark" but it is not there on my Tab3 (os4.4.2)

Oops! You're right--I totally misinterpreted that icon.:-\

Let me take another look.

Possibly. It's worth contacting the MultiCon developer and asking if there's a compatibility issue with your device or Android version.
