anyone having problems sending pictures to others with there tbolt? i keep getting an error message and i've already pulled the battery.

I got that last night sending a pic and today couldnt download 2 pics that were sent to me, no error given.

Also is there anyway to have a pic come through and NOT be a slide show? Every picture that is sent to me is a slide show and it is only 1 picture

Is there any way to send a purely text mms (no pics or other attachments)?

I used to be able to do this on my BB Storm to send a decently long text instead of sending multiple sms.

it says "generic network failure"

are you rooted?

did you move any of the bloatware during which maybe you moved one of the messaging files?

I had removed a bunch of the mail and messaging files since I was going to use handcent only. Turned out I couldn't received MMS files until i restored the mms files back to the app directory

if you're sending a long (160+ characters) text from a Thunderbolt to a dumb phone--it'll be multiple texts
if you're sending that same text from a Thunderbolt to a smart phone--it'll be one single text message.
at least, that's my understanding as i've experienced that when standing next to my friend (old Samsung phone) and they receive 2 texts when i send long messages.

there is no way to disable the slideshow MMS setting with the Stock Messaging app on the phone
however, if you download a 3rd party application (handcent, GoSMS) that handles messaging, then it will not be a slideshow.

HTC is aware of this annoyance & has stated that they're working on a fix in an upcoming release (GB, maybe?--or the upcoming fix for battery life & other issues that might be released earlier)

I am having a problem with sending media files via gmail. The email stays in sending status no matter if I'm on 3G, WiFi or 4G. Anyone else having this problem?
