MultiMedia Station & Droids in Shells

Hi -
I picked up the multimedia station this week - nice device, except for one serious design flaw: if you have your Droid in a protective shell (like mine from Body Glove) it won't fit properly in the dock. This is very disappointing, especially considering Verizon sells the shell!

I don't want to pry the shell off all the time, so my multimedia shell is going back for refund.

Anyone else run into this?

check out the seidio dock. it will allow shells to be used. I couldn't stand that body glove case..just imo though.. btw, I had both the dock and the body glove case, returned both..download dock runner for the same features as threw dock, and it's free..

seidio dock will be the solution, when its available. I would return your dock.

The Seidio dock will work with the Seidio shell, not sure about the others.. No word if it's got the magnet in it to trigger multimedia mode.

lol great way to look at it... i think i might just do that cuz that seidio dock is ugly. i like the moto one better if ima use one

i took off my hard case from verizon when i bought the mm dock, and ordered a pouch from sena. that was my solution.

You'll find a similar problem with the Car GPS dock. I don't have the body glove, but a thinner plastic case. The back needs to be taken off to fit into the GPS dock, but it's worth it.

Seidio is also releasing a car dock that will work with their case.

I originally had the body glove case, but it was so hard to remove that I returned it. At the time, I was more interested in removing the case to change the battery. The other hard cases from the verizon store are a piece of cake to remove.

I just got a dock from my sister for Christmas and removing the back of the case is easy enough to do.

Well... that's a different take on the media dock.
Neat concept.
I just use the inviso-armor on my Droid. It's a good solution for the time being.
Looking forward to the Sedio offerings though.
