I just ordered an S23 upgrade from T-mobile because I am going to the UK for a year and want to use dual SIMS. Can I use two eSIMs at the same time or does one need to be a card in order to have both active at the same time? T-mobile only sent me a QR code for an eSIM, can I use the card from by S20 FE instead? Or can I take it to a store to get a SIM card? I'd like to be able to set up the UK carrier before I leave to make sure it works ok, and obviously I can only do that as an eSIM. (I know I can get a physical SIM when I get there.)

Thanks in advance

That's not good. I thought multiple eSims could be used simultaneously, like you can with physical sim and eSim. Is this going to change when/if mfgs go to eSim only phones?

Not sure if you paid the phone in full or have installments. But if so, isn't the phone Tmobile locked? Thus cannot use with another carrier until unlocked?
