Music App

It's been my music player for eight phones and counting. It's tied to your Google account so yes, you can download it again.
I agree. Been using it for sometime myself.

I just can't understand why the OP is having such trouble.

Agreed. I actually had the exact same problem the OP had several devices ago. If I could remember how I solved it I would've posted quite sometime ago.

Just need to redo my music folders that will take a few hours or so tomorrow. All of my music is off of my old Ipod Classic that is crapping out. Does the app need wifi to work when adding music to it? When I get it done where would be the best place to put my music folders: installed empty micro sd card, or the Music folder already on the phone? I tried the Music folder previously with no luck.

No, you don't need WiFi for Poweramp.

I have a folder in the root directory on my SD card with nearly 6000 MP3 files and it just works perfectly.

When you add more MP3 files it will automatically scan the library when you next open the app and add them.

Best of luck.

I just called that folder "music".

That`s what I thought as well when searching for the songs. Once I get them organized and back into each music folder I want like country, classic rock etc in to seperate folders. Quick question I found this on my phones memory card and was wondering if all else fails try puting the songs in com.maxmpz.audioplayer which has a sub folder lables Music try putting the songs in there.

I would just create a folder called music with your sub folders under that.

Thanks for the help guys. Must have been a glitch or something because after uninstalling it then reinstall it everything worked fine. No problem finding music folders.

Happy to hear you're up and running.

I searched for years to find a good Android music player for my extensive locally-stored music and iTunes playlists. The only one I found that worked well - not perfectly, but quite well - is Rocket Player. I've been using this for years. When I encounter an issue, there is a forum, FAQ and fairly responsive customer service (even though I think it's only a husband and wife team, they are quite responsive). There is a parallel app, iSyncr, that imports songs and playlists from a computer to an Android. I highly recommend these apps. Also, though the free versions are very good, the few dollars for a one-time license are worth it.

I use Vinyl from Fdroid on mobile phone - open source. Nice app and widget I also use Poweramp (paid version) on an Android tablet.
