music dilemma

Hi, my Droid Turbo periodically starts playing music by itself. It usually occurs in the morning and the 'listen now' function is showing on the screen. My wife and children are all apple phoners, so the android brand gets a hammering - you know the junk technology badging. Running lollipop. Any ideas on why? I've been all-over Google play but can't see anything in there which might cause this.

Do you have any problems with the headphone jack? A faulty jack (or debris in the jack) might lead to false pause/play signals, which could in turn launch the music app.

Do you have the Play Music widget on a home screen that you are accidentally touching?

Have you turned on Moto Voice, and is there a chance that it is mistaking something else for your launch phrase for voice commands?
