music folders changed

Android and music has been a problem for me since I switched from Iphone last year. My wife has samsung s2skyrocket, I have the Note I, both on at&t. getting my imac to even see the device is a nightmare, Kies pretty much sucks, and periodically, our phones don't see our sd card anymore: 'sd card corrupt or missing, reformat needed". So, all the music and pictures we put on there are gone. Or, for some reason I can't figure out, the songs will double and get all jumbled up and out of order, and the phone can't figure out how to put everything back together. So 'artists' only shows 2 out of 4 albums of an artist, some whole albums just disappeared, and I've got 2 of each track of other stuff. What gives? It's a big enough issue for my wife that she is going back to Iphone. I never will, but I can see why she is... it's annoying as crap. Thanks ahead of time...
