Music is choppy

Not really sure what the problem is, but recently when listening to music, the beginning of most songs will play a second, pause, play a second, take a longer pause, and then finally play. It's like the phone is locking up for a few seconds at a time. Sometimes it can take almost a minute to unfreeze, especially after skipping forward a few songs. I thought maybe it was doubletwist, as that is what I use, but even after uninstalling and using the stock music app it does the same thing. Using amazon mp3 app and playing from the cloud I get the same problem.

Anyone know what gives? I've been using Virtuous Rom for so long I'm reluctant to switch or try something else, otherwise I would change roms and see what happens.

Try wiping Cache and Dalvik in Clockwork and rebooting. It's won't effect your setup but it will wipe out any stale files that may be gumming up the works.

I'll give it a try. I tried a rom from XDA called Business GingerSense. Liked it a lot, but the battery life sucked too much for me to use daily.....unfortunately. Anyway, the music had no issues on the new rom, so I reverted back to my Virtuous backup and am wiping the Cache as you say. I'll let you know after trying the music and let you know it worked.
