Music on the Maxx

Downloaded the trial of poweramp. Now how can I get it to grab the cover art? It's taking pictures from my gallery and assigning them to different songs.

Verdict?

Poweramp is definitely impressive. The EQ kicks butt, and the UI is very nice. I did notice, however, that after stopping the track and exiting, it still showed as running under the Manage Apps menu, taking up 46 MB. Any idea if it times out after a certain period of inactivity, or is it always there in the background?

How did you get to the tag screen above?

Love it! Ugh the one thing that sucks though is that I did it from my Songs library & it wiped out all of my playlist folders. They are all empty now. I wonder if I re-import my playlists if it will undo everything. I'm betting so. Sigh.

I tried a few players and prefer Player Pro. Does a great job at downloading album art and stats.
You can easily choose album art for example if you like the original and European cover art for Blind Faith, you can find it and change it. The equalizer is very good also.

I am really liking my Spotify app. I even upgraded to a Premium monthly subscription. The library of songs this service has is amazing.

With the premium service I can stream and download the tracks at 320 kb per second which helps improve sound quality (still not as good as the Poweramp sound equalizer). However, Spotify tends to use a lot of data. In particular it seems to be using a lot of background data. It is actually surpassing Netflix in terms of data use. Not a problem for my unlimited data plan, but it could be for a tiered data plan user.

I checked the box to restrict background data, but this would cause music play to stop a minute or so after the phone's screen turned off. So I had to re-enable the background data. Interestingly enough, some Spotify users have reported the app uses background data even while they are playing music already downloaded to the phone's internal memory.

Ok. I bought the full version of poweramp. Now it keeps losing songs, it randomly stops reading songs saved on my SD card. Also for some reason it will not find albums purchased through Google music. Anyone else have these issues?

Already did that. Still for some reason they just disappear. I have to rescan in order to get them back.
