Music player only shows 100 songs in "Now Playing"?

I did a search on this. Some results were in threads of 50+ pages, and the keywords I did find weren't related to this problem. Anyway...

Today I copied hundreds of songs to my SD card. They are all there, but when I open the Music app it only shows 100 of them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

When you go to the music menu, go the music note icon, that will display all songs.

Did you power the phone off. I've had this happen and after powering the phone off and back on, the music showed up again.

What I do is go into the music app. Press the lines icon in the lower left, then select the music note in the bottom row. Finally press menu, then shuffle all.
