Music player running after the recent MR

I've noticed the music player running in the background randomly. Not sure why as I dont listen to music on here. Anyone else notice this?

has anyone tried to stop this app by putting a .old at the end... i would but dont wanna risk it right now because i am about to go to work and dont wanna be with out a phone

dont worry about it. heres how to figure out what you can remove and cant. do a nandroid back up FIRST. then just start deleting crap and see what happens. if you brock your phone, flash your nandroid through cwm and then delete something else. but just so you know, if you delete or rename the music the only thing that would break is the music player. your ringtones and notifications would still work. dont be afraid to brick your phone, you will never learn anything that way.

I put .old at the end of the music player and it stopped it from running in the background. Juust remember, you won't be able to listen to music with the music application. I'm using double twist as an alternate. You can also use titanium and freeze the app. It doesn the same thing and renaming with .old ext.
