Music Skipping when connected to Ford SYNC via Bluetooth.

I have a 2013 Ford Edge. When I connect my S9 Plus via bluetooth to the Ford SYNC, there is CONSISTENTLY about 2-3 one second skips/pauses PER MINUTE! I had the Galaxy S8 Plus and had no issues other than every now and then the music would just pause all by itself and I would just have to hit play. And I thought THAT was annoying?! The constant skips when listening to music in the car is MUCH MUCH worse! When I first received the phone, during initial setup, there was ALREADY an OTA Software Update available. So I updated. But I am 100% POSITIVE that when I went to update, I remember seeing that the update would "Improve Bluetooth Connectivity" or something along those lines. So much for that! I am now wishing that I had tried listening to music in my car BEFORE updating! I am wondering If the update is causing the issue? Has anyone else had this problem? If so, do you have a fix?

It sounds like something to do with the media interface in Sync. See if your Ford dealer has an update to it.

I have the exact same issue! I also have a Ford, but it's much older and I'm using a third party (Sony) stereo. I looked it up online but the only thing I've found so far is to clear the Bluetooth cache, which didn't work...
Hoping someone finds a fix soon as I don't want to have to try a factory reset.

There are loads of options in developer mode. Try and see which ones are best for you.

Thanks, I didn't even think of that I researched a bit online and then changed Bluetooth Audio Codec to 'All' and changed Bluetooth Audio LDAC Codec to favour connectivity rather than audio quality.
It certainly skipped a lot less, I'd say maybe 1 skip every 7 minutes as opposed to 1 skip every 3 minutes, but still not solved. I'll try setting to a specific codec and see if that fixes it.

The same thing was happening to me until I shut my Wi-Fi and Location buttons off. Now Spotify doesn't skip once. Hope this helps.
