music through car USB

i just bought a new car with a USB port and plugged my charge in and put it in mass storage mode but the car did not even acknowledge there was anything plugged in. it works just fine with the AUX jack but i would really like to be able to control the songs withe car's stero. any thoughts?

It's in the programming of the device and radio.
I have a sony radio that will pick up my old nano and choose songs through the radio.

With my Droid Incredible, no go. But I haven't tried it since I bought poweramp so maybe it will work then?
I will give it a shot tomorrow and find out.
