Music widget/bar on lock screen (how to remove)

I started Samsung Music App, played one song, then quit the app and it no longer shows on my lock screen. It seemed like it was stuck looking for audio that it couldn't find, and the minute I played something, possibly a preference file was updated and allowed me to stop the widget from showing up...

FIXED
Go to: Settings
Go to: More
Go to: Application Manager
Go to: Running
click on and hold the application that's the problem and Force Stop the application
I stopped all while I was there and it hasn't come back 2 days and counting
Good Luck

A lot of the solutions here temporarily close the widget, but it keeps coming back. This is new after upgrading to 4.3. Anybody have any other ideas?

i have the same problem i want to remove it from my lockscreen. It's quite annoying when i swipe down and i can see my music list instead of my wallpaper..... Also how do i get rid of the clock widget? ive tired restarting changing the dual clock in settings and nothing. kinda useless since it already says the time uptop... ugh makes me slightly want my iphone back

Doesn't the iPhone have a clock on the lock screen and a clock in the status bar also? You would be having the same problem..

Ok, got it fixed - for me at least. And at least for the past day. This is on a Galaxy S4 running 4.3.

Go to Settings - More - Application manager.
Swipe to the ALL page
Scroll down to Music and select it
Select "Turn off"

On my S4 with Android 4.3, the above worked (when all else did not). I no longer have Samsung Music on my lock screen. I would, however, like to have "Music" (the music app with the light blue box and music note icon - AT&T maybe) appear on my lock screen, replacing the now absent Samsung Music. What do I need to do (or not do, since the Samsung player seemed to magically appear)??

OK, should have tried before I asked..... I just started the player from my home screen and it is now on the lock screen too. Everything is in sync...... Life is good.

BTW, if you have "Adapt Sound" available on the bottom of the "Sound" settings menu, definitely run through it with your headphones. Do it in a quiet room. What a difference it makes in playback! It eq's the sound to match your earphones and your ears.

YES!

Finally, a solution that worked. I tried disabling apps through app manager ("through Downloaded", "Running") and finally, this worked. Cheers! The annoying music widget is GONE!

Okay. Not sure if this is anyone's case, but I had a music widget on my lockscreen that I hated and wanted to get rid of and couldn't by any of the usual methods (long hold screen -> delete, or notifications). The thing is I installed 8tracks app, and I didn't notice it installed a widget on my lockscreen. So the thing was to go into the app, hit the settings button and disable "Lock screen widget" option. Finally my phone is back to normal.

To remove Samsung Music Widget from the Lock Screen.

*

Go to 'Settings' (your phone settings).

*

Push the 'More' tab at the top. ***

*

Then go to 'Application Manager'. *****

*

Swipe the to the left and go to 'All'. ****

Here a list of all of your apps should *appear. Find Samsung Music on the list and open it. It should take you to the its 'App Info' menu. *************

*

Please Note: *If you don't see Samsung Music under 'All', swipe left one more time to 'Turned Off'. On my phone, the app was under 'Turned Off' possibly because I closed the app in task manager hoping it would remove it from the Lock Screen.

*

After you open the 'App Info' menu. Push 'Turn On'.

*

...and a little magical Leprechaun takes it away.

*

Note: If it reads 'Turn Off' push it twice.

Go to Settings > General > Application Manager > All > Music > Press clear Cache and you're good to go :D

What apps should I disable? Because I don't want music app on my home screen disappear, I just want to get rid of this music controls when the screen is locked.

I did find a simple way to hide lock screen default Samsung music player widget :) "I'm using GS3 android 4.3"
1) chek the multi widget in the parameters
2) add the widget
3) unchek the multi widget parameter
Hop the problem is solved
If it did work like :)
