hey guys im just wondering how to download music on to my droid? I just got my droid last week so I am wondering if some body can walk me through it. i had a blackberry curve before. is the droid like the curve where you have to download your music first on like lime wire and then move it over to the phone? thanks for the help guys.

just connect usb to droid to comptuper, drag the files over to your droid like it's a flash drive, hope this helped :)

so there isnt a way to down load it through like a app on my phone? It has to be done from a computer

You can buy music (Amazon MP3, VCast Music?) or stream it (Pandora, Slacker, etc.) but as far as getting music from your own collection, not that I know of, nope.

If you're an iTunes user you can get the app iSyncr and it will let you download whatever you want from your iTunes library ie playlists, podcasts. It's a nice app, only problem is that it is not free. IMO the $2.99 is better than having to deal with the additional media player Double Twist on your computer.

it is definitely available. search for "mp3 music" and search simply for "free music". i found 2 apps already that allow you to download anything for free. you aren't supposed to keep the songs, so thats up to you to abide by the legalities. but it's 100% legal to download and listen. these apps just search the web usually and provide slick interfaces to this.

If using MAC, download "Salling Media Sync". It's free and allows you to move music and playlists from iTunes to your Droid.

You need to clarify what you mean by "download". Where is the music currently? There are any number of methods of getting music onto the Droid. Keep in mind that discussing illegal apps or methods of obtaining music aren't allowed on most forum sites.

but it's 100% legal to download and listen.
Depending on the app, it probably isn't. Able to != legal.

iSyncr has alot of positive reviews. Well worth $2.99. ;)

I cant believe nobody has already suggested this yet, there is a program for both windows and mac called DoubleTwist that will sync music to android phones. The program itself will sync with your iTunes library and even your custom playlists. Hope this is something like what your looking for
