Must have Apps for the Nexus-S

"the Opera mini browser uses Opera's servers to compress web pages"

That's the reason I'm not using it. I don't need my personal data cached on a third party server.

You can use Opera Mobile then. It doesn't go through Opera's servers.

What Podcast player/manager does everyone use? I'll be coming from Palm where I have been very happy with DrPodder.
DrPodder was by far the app I used most on my Pre. I was worried when I made the switch, but DoggCatcher has come pretty close to giving me what I need. For me it was totally worth the money. I had to change a bunch of the default settings, but it does the basics: Downloading, resuming, streaming, conditional downloading, marking episodes as new/old, filtering, deleting media.

Thanks for all the great suggestions on the Podcast apps! I haven't made the switch yet, but I'm trying to get some research done ahead of time so I'll be ready.

Smart Rotator (free) - allows you to enable the accelerometer to switch user defined apps into landscape mode. Helpful if you decide to turn the accelerometer off globally, but want certain apps like Maps or Gallery to support landscape mode.

Downloaded TouchPal since some here seemed to like it and I really like it alot, nice suggestion.

i had this for a couple days but was getting error messages after doing a search for a contact and then trying to call that contact. do you get any error messages? i uninstalled and reinstalled but still no luck.

Wow. Thank you.

Opera Mobile is amazing. I didn't wanna install a different browser, but I'm glad I did. Way smoother.

I tried Dolphin HD for a few minutes before trying Opera Mobile. I wasn't a fan of any of the color schemes for Dolphin HD so that turned me off quickly. Opera Mobile has a more streamlined, clean look.

I tried opera but wasn't impressed. I like dolphin mini much better. Haven't tried the HD one.
