For those of you who've tried Thumb KB, have you tried Tablet keyboard and if so why do you like Thumb KB better? I haven't installed the Thumb KB yet, but it doesn't have the numbers across the top. Since my username for most things has letters and numbers, so it helps to have the numbers there.

Just tried it out, sorry to say thumb keyboard has it beat hands down by a lot. the keys on tablet kb were too small and I was making a lot of typos, to compound the problem tablet kb has no auto correct fuction built into it like thumb kb does so I kept having to back up to fix the errors. Also becuase of the size of the keys, more often than not, when I hit space, since I hit space with my right thumb all the time, I kept hitting the notification bar and popping up the notifications. With Thumb Keyboard, its 100% customizable, so I'm able to make my space bars huge and the keys a little larger than normal to accomidate my fat fingers. Yes the number pad is in the middle which slows me down a bit when I have to type in long strings of numbers but other than that, Thumb KB is perfect.

So my recomandation stands - Best Keyboard for Xoom remains Thumb Keyboard - note I've also tried Swiftkey for tablets and it too suffers from small keys and painfully tiny space bars, though admitedly, swiftkey looks the slickest so if I ever want to take beauty shots of my xoom, I'll probably throw swiftkey up there.

I couldn't agree more.

On the appearance however...SwiftKey looks like something from Star Trek. Put the Glass Theme on Thumb Keyboard and looks great (IMO).
