I just sold my HTC One and got a nexus 5. What are some must have apps?

Received mine this week! For me.......Nova, Swiftkey, and a antivirus application (Trend Micro) for starters. Power Toggles, HD Widgets, Zooper Widget, and Zedge for some neat stuff. Dropbox, Evernote, Radar Now! beta, AccuWeather Plus, and set up Corporate email for work. Throw in a few news and game apps just in time to get back to Android Central to see what everyone else is doing.

Tasker is very good. I've set it up for a Trusted Device like functionality. When the phone is connected to my car bluetooth or home wifi, the phone is unlocked. I'm awaiting a bluetooth tag to carry with me so that as long as my phone is in range, I won't have to keep entering my PIN to unlock.

I like that. Source for BT tag?

I have tried that but for some reason can't get it to work consistently.

These "must have" threads always turn into "apps I must have" instead of "apps that work really well on the N5 and should be used by all".

For me, apps like NY Times, Barcode Scanner, One Bus Away, Dropbox, etc are "must have" apps.

"must have" totally depends on what you use your phone for.

the only things i put on my phone are flixter, kakao talk, and usa today

Thanks, that worked. I tried with secure settings before and couldn't get it to work. This worked like a charm.

Glad it worked out for you. I set this up a few days ago, and for the most part, it seems to work. I think on an occasion or two, it would still remain locked. I tried turning the profile on and off. After restarting the phone, once connected to my home wifi, the screen lock was disabled. There is also another app called Delayed Lock which does the same thing. I installed it, but haven't tried it out yet.

Zooper widgets, Weather bug Elite.. Percent enabler is pretty cool. Once your battery drains enough, you'll start to see a number so you don't have to keep checking the drop down menu for your battery %
