hey guys, one thing i liked on old android phones was the ability to make the pass lock go away for 10-15 minutes after unlocking my phone once. that way, if the screen timed out, i wouldn't have to enter my pattern every time. well, with face lock, setting my automatic lock doesn't seem to do anything. help?

If you have Face Unlock set up, I think the logic is that you want it to lock once it times out, so a stranger can't just come by and pick up the phone and use it without unlocking it.

Unless, of course, they have a reasonably good photo of you to unlock the device and steal your data. ;)

Same problem here. I am not using the facial recognition to unlock the phone, and I have the phone set for a 30 minute delay once the PIN is entered, but I am forced to enter in my PIN each time the phone times out. I can't seem to figure out how I need to adjust my settings to accomplish this.

I have the same complaint. The lock timeout setting is apparently obeyed only when the phone goes to sleep after being idle. If you turn the screen off with the power button, it always locks immediately.

I encourage anyone with this problem to go to the bug tracking database and "star" issue 22160:
