I thought my air gestures weren't working either, the whole time I was using the Google Chrome app instead of the Internet app. The air gestures DON'T work on the Chrome app but it does work on the Internet app.

Even when I use default apps, the little hand notification shows up in my menu bar but when I actually do the hand motions, nothing happens.

Driving me absolutely insane

Sorry pal..but being a GN2 owner all that stuff they advertise JUST DOES NOT WORK..Its a hoax and a load of half baked so called features that make the phone a lagfest and sluggish to boot. Better learn next time to get a phone that has a greater focus on software improvements instead of gimmicks.

Hi! I just got my Samsung S4 today and I have been looking forward to using air gestures. But even if I enabled the air gestures app in the setting and in the sub menu it still won't work. I read online that there should be a light that turns on but the light hasn't turned on even though it said that it has been enabled. Can anyone guide me through this whole process?or tell what I'm doing wrong. I tried using the 'Help app' and when they do the tutorials it works but other than that, it doesn't work on its own.

Sorry for all of your issues. The sensor on the first phone I received was not working therefore none of associated functions did either. So within 24 hrs of receiving the phone I called Verizon tech support and they had me go through a bunch of things including a factory reset...the sensor still didn't work. So they classified the phone as DOA and I was able to go to the Verizon store and trade the broken phone for a brand new unit not a refurbished one. The sensor and all associated functions are now working as advertised and I'm loving this phone!

Under Air View in Settings, make sure Information Preview is on. I thought mine was not working either but once I turned it on I was good.

If air gestures was the only problem I had with my phone I'd be doing well. Currently my phone freezes, lags out and reboots whenever it wants

I went in and played around with the settings and now it works. They must have changed some stuff in the newer Kit Kat version.
