Smart Switch has never worked on AT&T Samsung phones for getting OS updates. This was confirmed via a conversation on the AT&T support forums between one of the long-time forum members and an AT&T tech early this year.

Although, I can't be sure, but it could be because Smart Switch probably looks for updates from the Samsung servers, and AT&T branded Samsung phones get them from AT&T's servers.

It's possible, but wouldn't hurt to try , there's a new update for smart switch on the pc , also you have to go to settings >preferences and click software download, there are 2 boxes to check there.

I have the same problem with my AT&T S20 Ultra, and Smart Switch didn't fix it. Getting the ROM reflashed did it, but how often do you want to have to wipe your phone? Think I'll just wait for the S21 unless there's a compelling update that I can't live without. It's very frustrating.

You don't have to wipe your phone every time you update through odin , just use home csc

Just posted this on s20 not updating thread also, I thought I had this no updating problem, but this morning I got android 11, one ui3, and am now on November security patch. Good luck, and hope u guys are able to get this update.

A result as we say. It does beg the question of why you were previously unable to update... but for you, it is no longer an issue.

Thanks, I'm not sure that I wasn't able to update. I just thought because I was still on an older security patch, that I might have this problem, but evidently not. The only thing that I did was delete that smart switch app yesterday, and then got the update today.

so today I got Android 11 and one ui 3. pretty neat and random. I guess they skipped October like I guessed and went straight for Android 11.

I am too man. These phones aren't cheap. At these prices I don't want to have to do legwork just to update. Hopefully the other poster gets Android 11 today as well.
