My BACK CAMERA DOESN'T WORK JUST SHOWS A BLACK SCREEN AND FLASH LIGHT STAYS ON.

I dont know why this has suddenly happened. The front camera is fine I have a sony xperia z3 the back camera has a black screen with the camera settings, if you press the take picture button it freezes the phone. I have reset it via pc companion, and entered safe mode cleared caches before reset , made sure not been disabled.

Do I have to replace the camera I really haven't got the money so trying to avoid it ifnot just spent out getting the screen replaced

Open system settings - applications - camera. Clear the data and open the app. Hopefully that helps. If not, it seems like you replaced the screen? If so, then perhaps a connection is bad or the camera ribbon was damaged.

Did you maybe drop it? Or was there possible water damage? Sometimes those can lead to it not functioning correctly.
