My battery has been a stud lately

I did a factory reset last night and my battery has been awesome since. I even turned some of the syncs on that I had off and I'm still getting good life. Unplugged my phone at 7:45 and its almost 3 and I still have about 80% left. Last week, I was lucky to have 80% after being unplugged for 2 hours.

What do you mean by "accounts" - What I need to know is, did you have to set up your email accounts again?

Apps are easy, even if I have to BUY them again no big deal - apps are cheap.
What he means is that you have to sign back in to all your accounts on your phone. When you first setup your phone you had to tell it what your google account was, you have to do that again. Same for Twitter, facebook, everything else. Because of the way Google does things in the market any apps you buy are linked to your google account (not just your phone), so when you get a new phone or a tablet and you put in the same email address it will download all those same apps without you needing to re-buy anything.

Although this is cheating because I switched to 3G today using the Phone Info app. It's nearly 5pm and my battery is still at 75%. Thats amazing battery life and at a minimum much better than my pos D2G never got. I plan to test a day or 2 on 3G and then flip it back to 4G to compare.

Totally agree with this. I was in the same situation.

This.

peeps in this thread are saying that it makes a big diff

Huh, ok. Well, I've been getting 4-5 hours up time without, I'm happy. I'm not sure I want to erase everything and have to reset my launcher, etc. No root, so no titanium backup.

ok, stupid question, i know, but how to factory reset? and also, does this still keep programs installed? is this the "factory data reset" in "Settings>SD & phone storage > Factory data reset"? or is there a different reset?

Ever since I did a factory restore on my phone, tweeked the settings, and installed juice defender I can go about 24 hours with moderate/heavy use.

Im at 95% since 7 am with moderate - heavy use.

Anyone else just seeing a drastic improvement with their battery life?

I was thinking about returning this phone but I love it now.

If you've done heavy use for several hours and your battery is at 95%, I'd say your battery indicator is wrong. I've had the phone look like a stud and then, suddenly, drop like a rock. Very odd but the end use time was approximately what I expected.

Standard battery for me is terrible, like most -- if you use 4G. If you don't, it's no different than using a stock Incredible. Battery life is OK, nothing great, just great compared to the horror that is 4G. Extended battery has been the only cure and works very well.

You restart your phone while holding down the volume down button. Then it'll load a boot screen and you can scroll down to factory reset by press the volume down button and choose with the power button. Hope that made sense.
