There are lots of factors for battery life, apps, settings, brightness, signal strength at location, usage habits, sync settings and so many other variables. It's hard to compare battery life of one person to another. You got to compare with your previous phone with similar apps, usage habits, location etc to give an idea of how the battery is doing for you.Mine is AT&T. Just wondering because I'm getting nothing like your battery life.
new app install?
Yeah true, I think in my case it's because I have a lot of apps installed with syncing options. And 2 times whatsapp and 2x telegram. And then there's my dual sim. There are lots of factors for battery life, apps, settings, brightness, signal strength at location, usage habits, sync settings and so many other variables. Except that..... All those things are factored into my judgement. I've upgraded every year for as long as I can remember and for the past six years I've owned 3 flagship Androids and 3 flagship iPhones. I've never had battery concerns for the Max, 7 plus and 6 plus. Right now I've got AOD off, Bixby routine regulating WiFi, fetch sync on email, only 3 widgets and a variety of other things I'm trying out. And battery still doesn't compete with ios. There are lots of factors for battery life, apps, settings, brightness, signal strength at location, usage habits, sync settings and so many other variables. Yeah I'm talking about Note 10 vs previous Android phone for comparison since it's running similar OS etc. If you are comparing with iOS it's a different story. I'm not saying you shouldn't, if for your usage iOS gives better battery then it's what is. From my personal experience iOS battery life has always been great for me as well on all my iPhones including the current smaller Xs. But at the same time I haven't had any major battery issues on my various android phones as well. It's kind of hard to do one to one comparison with iOS and Android since they do so many things differently. But at the end of the day you can only measure which phone lasts longer for you and go by thatExcept that..... All those things are factored into my judgement. Do you run widgets?I got 7 hours 10 minutes of SOT yesterday with 17 hours total.
Do you run widgets?
I love the battery. I just did a normal day in the life test. Made some phone calls, some texts, played some games, took some pics and video, watched some youtube, AOD, bluetooth and wifi on. went 33 hours before I plugged it back in and I was still at 17% left. Screen (WQHD and brightness right up to the red marker) on time was around 5 hours. My note 8 was almost dead after about 15 hours.
Not sure why, but did this miraculously solved my issue. Much MUCH better battery results now, will post the screenie before I plug the phone in again.Android system high usage can be a number of things, but this is a major culprit. Leave this setting off and you will see a difference .![]()
The iPhone Max is much better on the battery in my experience unfortunately and the big format phones have always been so. Of the last six phones I’ve owned half have been android and half have been iOS. I just smh seeing some of these Sammy Plus screen times and battery life and don’t understand how my results are so different.
