4 hours of screen time isn't all that bad for a phone, assuming normal intermittent usage throughout the day. Was it a lot better before?

Yes this suddenly happened one day. After I downloaded an app. I deleted it but still happening. I got the new battery, it was working fine but Idk which app it was that's messing up. I deleted one before.

It takes forever to charge in safe mode. I just unplugged it an hour ago. It was on 61 now it's on 52. Seems like it also takes longer to de-charge

So it seems to only stay in the 70's in safe mode. Without safe mode it goes up to 100% then when I unplug charger, it it starts to lose charge fast.

Wanted you to charge it first to 100 % then put in safe mode see the battery drain .

I'm beginning to think something is wrong with the phone's charging hardware (either the port, circuits, or the connection with the battery).

When I charge my phone to 100 now, when i unplug charger it goes to 98. Before it would go all the way down to 67. I think the safe mode actually helped. Thanks.

Safe mode is just diagnostic mode it turns off 3rd party apps , so you need to find which app is causing this battery drain

If the drain comes back after rebooting out of Safe Mode, then you may have to start uninstalling apps one by one until the drain stops (which can be pretty tedious, but sometimes that's the only way to figure it out).
