My battery life...

So it's been awhile since I got this phone (December, 2011) and I'm just wondering is it time to buy a new battery? I never turn 4G on, and I keep sync off until I charge. Normally, I end up with 15-20% battery left after this amount of time...

I should mention I am running a custom 4.2.2 ROM.

I've been wondering the same thing. I had the phone for over a year now and I have the extended battery installed...and when I dont have a charger nearby I can only get about 10-12 hours out of a total charge, with limited use. I have been wondering if my battery has gone bad-I do obsessively take notice as to what apps are draining the battery (GSAM battery monitor works well) but nothing stands out (one more clock widget was a contributor-so i switched back to beautiful widgets and that helped a little). So when do you know that your battery is dying?
The overall battery life on this phone is terrible - I dont know if its the signal issue, or something else, but my wife laughs at me with her Galaxy S3 - when my battery level would be at 40, hers would be at 70 and she used hers a lot more than mine.
Guess I'll have to shell out big bucks for an S4.

I'm not sure how much on screen time it is, but going through a fully day of college (10 hours), I turn off my data when I get into the classrooms. I turn on 3G when I'm going in between class just to check Facebook, browse the web, check email, update apps etc. I guess you could say I'm an average user when it comes to how much my phone is on...maybe a little heavy sometimes.

I recently noticed the same thing with my phone. I bought it and an extended battery the day it came out, and recently (for no apparent reason) I began getting a 2-4 fewer hours per charge.
I picked up a new extended battery and seem to be back to the same range I used to get.

Still not getting great battery life, but I never have.

Not sure about the best price. I called my closest VZW Corporate store and they still had the OEM Samsung ones in stock, so that's what I got.
Unfortunately, they aren't on clearance like all of the other GNex accessories.

I got one over the holidays for xmas. I think it was half-off, maybe $25.
Kinda defeats the purpose of having a smart phone if you have to turn off syncing and data just to make it thru the day. My wife just got the S3 so I'm anxious to see any difference. I would love to have the S3, but not TouchWiz, I prefer stock Android.
