i cant find a decent screen protector. its either a flat glass piece that is short, or reduced sensitivity, or too thick, or peels up on edges.
i wish manufacturers would go back to flat screens.

it's the fad right now. I wouldn't be surprised if it puts more money in the manufacturers pockets because of all the claims that are made through the insurance companies for broken screens. The $150+ deductible definitely lines someone's pocket after necessary costs. and yes, the insurance companies used for your carrier aren't owned by any of the manufacturers, but I suspect they have some sort of agreement. why go back to flat screens if they're going to make even more money?

flat screen for me. love my g6

We're fighting a losing battle. I want flat screens, replaceable batteries and an SD card. The industry is changing and neither of us is going to get our wishes.

(At least if they learned how to anneal the curved screens properly we wouldn't have so many of them producing spiderweb cracks.)

Your best bet is a case with a raised lip around the screen as that should protect it from most falls.

But yes I can understand your concern.

Have you tried RinoGear RinoSkin V30 film protector? It's a wet install but it feels very smooth, it's a special hybrid screen protector that automatically heals dings and scratches. I have it on my Gear Fit2 watch, it looks and feels good.
