My carrier says that my Samsung Galaxy S10+ is not 4g/Volte capable. What?

Thanks, Mustang. Everything went well, but didn’t solve my problem. But at least I don’t get the Verizon splash anymore :)

I’m beginning to think it may be an issue with my phone. Swapped SIM cards with my wife’s phone and my sim stays on lte in her phone and my phone switches from lte to H+ (Used to say 3G before flashing) when I use her sim in my phone. Since my s10e is still in warranty for another month, maybe I should see if Samsung has a fix.
Thanks for your help!

Ok , you can always go back to carrier firmware using same method if you want .
Your welcome

Did you end up getting a response from Samsung? I am currently having the same issue. S10+, Model G975U. Was purchased thru Verizon, unlocked via Verizon, and switched to Consumer Cellular. All reps I've spoken with continue claiming that my phone simply doesn't support VoLTE but I just can't seem to believe them... I am going to switch to Mint Mobile once I get an unlocked S22 Ultra delivered from Samsung sometime in April, but I'd like to be able to make phone calls in the meantime lol.

I will switch in a couple of weeks - need to pay off GFs phone from consumer cellular and have them unlock it before making the switch to Mint. In the meantime, has there been a successful fix for getting the VoLTE option? I'm looking thru the forums, and so far I haven't found a case that has a good outcome.

Like unlocked version of these devices dont even have options to toggle on VoLTe i know with Att and TMobile as i have both, your device is carrier version but sim unlock so dont worry too much and switch carrier , some carrier show the option in menu like in past .

So the fix is just jumping ship from Consumer Cellular ASAP? No way to have this phone work on their network? I guess I can switch and add my gf to the new carrier when her phone is unlocked...

Is the broad issue that carrier-purchased phones purposefully screw you over if you leave them lol?

Thank you for the quick replies.

If you want stay put with them and see for yourself otherwise switch but the device is very capable of working

I fixed my issue! Idk if I should make a new post, considering there have been a lot of people not being able to make calls or see VoLTE as an option. Turns out, my phone was not fully updated. I thought it was, however I had about 4 security updates and had Android 12 to update. Once Android 12 was installed, WiFi calling is an option, as is VoLTE. So far, looks like my phone works just fine.
