My CM7 Impressions, Problems, and Requests

Looks like some kind of conflict with the dock bar to me, but I really don't have a clue what the cause is. Have you tried using a different launcher or dock bar yet ?, that might help. Apart from that I think you have the right idea with the columns and rows, mine is set at max, I think it's 9x9. One last thing I can think of (which probably will not help) is if you long press on the widget and go to 'edit' you can resize some stuff by dragging the border that appears. This has not worked for me yet with any widgets, but it looks as if it will stop other widgets using space you have designated to a certain widget. Like I said though It's probably not much use !

It was definitely the dock bar. I can't use the "None (expanded desktop)" option. I use one of the other options (1 icon), then set a gesture to swipe down to hide/un-hide the 3d dock bar. That way if it disappears I can just swipe down to get it back. The icons and widgets for ADW Launcher EX only look good in 8x6 so I'm keeping it there. Everything else seems to be going ok. Dolphin HD hasn't crashed lately so I'm happy with that. However, the tablet has restarted on me twice for no reason (it was just sitting there). I'm still having trouble finding good tablet apps. The phone apps are driving me nuts. I also discovered that the XfinityTV website won't play videos from Hulu, which is a real bummer.

Ok, thanks! As you can see i broke down and bought the Tapatalk Forums app. It seems to have all I need from Communities, so scratch one off the list. Paying for a cookbook when the best one is free on webOS won't go over as well...

All, I apologize for not posting here in a while. I haven't spent too much time in CM7 since the developers of ADW Launcher EX decided to change the way the application dock behaves in their new update (1.3.3.55). Now I can't get the dock on the bottom of the screen anymore. I tried all of the other launchers available and I can't find a replacement for ADW that does what I want it to do. I have fled back to the simplicity of webOS for a while and will continue to monitor ADW Launcher EX' progress. There is nothing right now that draws me to Android.

Don't know if there's anything else to try. The HP keyboard pairs great with CM7 for me. I just go into devices, select the keyboard, typed 0000 in the pop up box, hit enter, then immediatelytyped 0000 physically on the keyboard and pressed enter (on the hp keyboard), and bam...paired...and I only had to do it once.it now pairs every time I turn it on.

I was also able to roll back ADW Launcher EX to version 1.3.3.1, which gives me the bottom dock back. I was only able to do this because I replace the free version of ADW Launcher with the EX version in the system directory.

I haven't used my keyboard in some time and forgot how nice it feels.

New screenshots of my CM7 hook-up. Everything seems to be working well after my ADW Launcher EX update scare and subsequent roll back. I also applied the fix after setting everything up (had to redo ADW Launcher EX of course):
