My contact list does not show the name

I recently did an update on my s9. Now my contact list only shows the first letter of the name (in a circle)and no other info. If I click on the letter it shows the name and number. How do I get it to show the name again?

I use the BlackBerry suite of apps and launcher including the contacts app. it shows the full name. even after updates

I changed a few themes. Stayed the same

Default works. Guess I'll have to find a theme that does work now

This has also been an issue for the Calendar app on the Pie update, which is also solved by a theme change.
