Hey guys just got my x on thursday after upgrading from a storm 1. I can't say anything other than i love the phone although i've encountered a few little bugs. Firstly and least annoying is it seems it likes to change my ringtones and notification sounds. Its confusing to set it up as it is let alone to keep changing it.

The second and more annoying is that it seems that my contacts are gone. When i go to my contacts it looks stock but if i search a particular contact i can find it. Anyone encounter anything similiar? Its pretty annoying having to search for a.contact every time. All my recent texts and calls acknowledge that they are saved as a contact but my main contact page is barren.

Thanks for any help guys!

Looks like the Droid X only displays the "My Contacts" group from Gmail. On other Android Phones I've been able to add other Gmail groups, but I can't figure out how to do that on the X. It's possible that because of Blur, it can't be done.

The easiest way to fix it appears to be to go into your All Contacts Gmail group and mark the ones you want on the X with a check, and then hit "Move to My Contacts"

Personally, I find this annoying, but still ...

I think I experienced the same thing, it looks like the contacts screen is made up of 3 panels. The first panel is Contacts History, the second panel are your contacts and the third panel is Contacts: All Contacts wtf is that. Anyway just swipe between the panels and hopefully they will show up.If you look in the upper right hand corner youll see 3 dots your contacts are on the second dot, plus they have labels on the upper left hand corner.

Since we're discussing contacts I have an anomaly for you. I have a friend named Joseph and another named Joe. When I got my contacts on my DX Joe wasn't listed so I added him. Still no Joe. When I did it again, same thing. I looked at Joseph and Joe's number was there. Apparently Android is trying to be intuitive when it shouldn't. I had to add last names to have both Joe and Joseph in my contacts.
