FWIW, I was a second away from buying the Rezound but ultimately went with the GN and couldn't be happier with my choice.

I also tend to believe that all the gripes about the GN are more the exception than the rule.

I think you are right about that. Just look at the results from each of the polls that have been conducted here asking people about their satisfaction of the device.
