my device says that the master sync is disabled how do I enable it?

I have received no e-mails on my tablet since August. My Samsung device won't sync. when I go into my e-mail settings and turn on the Sync account button, it says that the master sync has been disabled. how do I enable it? I can get the internet OK

Welcome to the forums. What Samsung model do you have? Just in case, they in settings - accounts - three dots/menu.
