My device says **** UNLOCKED ****

I recently rooted my HTC One M8 and everything went very smoothly. However, when holding down the down volume button and pressing the power button, it reads **** UNLOCKED ****. So, all went well!! Apparently not. All of the programs tell me i must be root and the device is not rooted?

Anyone got any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks in advance.

Unlocked means that the bootloader is unlocked - it doesn't comment on root status. Are you using chainfire?

Dear SteffJay,

Looking at the devices IMEI number I can see this device has been rooted as of 27/02/2016. I'm not sure exactly why these applications are informing you the device's bootloader has not been unlocked.

As for the SuperSU, when i run it the adviso states that "There is no SU binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem".

Bump.

Being a noob and my first attempt at this, I am now lost !!!

Anybody???
