my droid turbo 2 stopped automatically connecting to any bluetooth it is paired with

I have problems with it connecting a majority of the time. It is strange, but it sometimes will connect with my car, but it stopped connecting with my bluetooth speaker. They still show in the paired devices. This is driving me crazy. Is there a way to get it to once again autoconnect?

Do you have any Bluetooth devices that are constantly connected, like a smartwatch? A device like that could be competing with other devices for connection.
