Verizon Galaxy S8 My edgelighting is only working with text apps nothing else

I have done about everything to get my edgelighting to work with my other apps and no luck all my apps selected to receive edgelighting the only one that's works is Textra app.Textra works with the screen on and off and on aod.Anybody else have this problem?

Quite a few users have reported either partial or no use of edge lighting. It worked pretty well for me but I turned it off as it's more a novelty than useful. Regardless, you're not alone. There are other threads in this form you may want to read over , something might click to get yours working.

It doesn't work with the majority of apps. It's pretty much a Samsung apps only thing, with minor compatibility with a couple 3rd party apps. It works for Whatsapp and a few types of notifications from some of my random apps, but nothing I'd rely on. What really sucks is that you can't change the color of the lighting though.

The capability with the app I'm using is more than "minor". I have selected which apps I want edge lighting to be used with notifications and I have selected the color I want to be used with each app.

Got it figured out works with all my apps now on aod face up thanks guys.

Enlighten us? Mine only works face down.

Settings > Display > scroll all the way to bottom Keep Screen Turned Off make sure that is off .Works with all my apps that are selected to get notifications

Good catch on this. Tested and working perfectly.
