My enthusiasm is wearing off for this phone

It's probably just some ninja psychological marketing trick that went awry on LG's part.............................:D

Couldn't agree more. I would rather have waited an extra two weeks for an announcement and subsequent sale. Instead, all the hype created at the announcement event is quickly wearing off.

Really? I was too, but the Mavic has far greater range at 4.3 miles, avoidance collision, and much smaller. I would note that I have zero use for the gimbal.

although this is an android forum..this dji and gopro hypen me up - always wanted a drone, love gopro karma, but dji mavic surprises me more...

It's not so much the waiting for me as it is the complete lack of concrete information at launch AFTER hyping the phone up prior to JUST BEFORE the iPhone 7 launch WHILE Samsung had a full recall and already are rebounding after a damaged image while LG CONTINUES to tease a phone they already officially introduced WITHOUT any pricing or availability information AFTER three weeks. In what world does that equal success? This terrible launch will be the only reason I may not get the V20 even though it is the only phone that has (almost)everything I want. I really really like it but when LG drags their feet and continues to tease a fully launched phone and no information officially or from the sign up page that I filled out I will definitely move on if they don't get their act together. I can certainly move on to the Galaxy S7 at the moment. LG has really put a sour taste in my mouth with this launch. Everyone on social media and ads have practically begged LG for release date and pricing and the continue to ignore them, offer a sign up page that doesn't even confirm you've signed up and they just dangle the phone in our faces. I just don't like how they've gone about it. Really love the phone still though and I will end up waiting for it. It's the only one of its kind.

Anyone else? Its been teasing since August 4th, and there is still no pre-order or carrier information.

Just watched the DJI Mavic Pro get introduced - handheld drone that can fly 7 km while shooting 4k. Never owned one but now super excited, and guess what....they give pricing , pre-order today, October 15 availability date, etc etc. All done the right way. Strike while the iron is hot.

There goes $999. Sorry LG.

Just saw a few videos of this and it is sick!!!! Small, powerful, and great video.

Wow you guys are impatient, I still have an S7 edge for the time being and it'll serve it's next owner really great once I get this V20 next month!

Maybe just a little impatient but I think you're missing the bigger point: we don't have a single thing confirmed from LG yet. The alleged release date was a leak which will probably end up being correct but that's in three weeks. No pricing. No release date. But LG loves to tease the phone while we wait.

It's not really the impatience.

I think the general stigma would be calmer had LG unveiled it at a later date, when they can already finalize pricing and launch info.

Yea i have to say LG really crapped the bed on this one. And i am not speaking from an impatient standpoint but you make a big fuss about announcing your phone on 9/6 with no price no release date nothing. and here it is almost a month later and not even the slightest inkling. And they missed two huge windows to have this device pushed. 1. note 7 owners looking for a new device lost most of them now replacement device are becoming available and most of the others already jumped ship to another device. and 2. iphone 7 plus purchasers who could not find one available. Now they are becoming more readily available.

In terms of market share Samsung and Apple are king and LG was literally handed a window of opportunity, and i know there must be a reason they couldn't release sooner but i also know some execs are sitting there looking at this giant missed opportunity in Awe.

LG appears to need a refresher course in Marketing 101........... *smh*

I may be a little impatient, yes - I want to see what it's "officially" like, its pricing, etc - but I won't be buying my new phone for a very long time, so I guess I can wait. :P

lol me too, I can't even explain why I prefer the new Xperia XZ over LG V20 when it obviously have some better specs than the XZ, weird.

And just like that. My enthusiasm is through the roof again. The Best Smartphone Camera, as judged by YOU! http://www.androidcentral.com/best-smartphone-camera In almost every point the V20 was behind(except panorama and ffc) it's just a few ticks away from being number one in every scene. The S7 does have the best auto algorithms but since I'm going to be shooting manual 95% of the time this is really exciting to me. Totally waiting now.

Lets see what hidden goodies Google has in store tomorrow. We arleady know it will have faster processor, and Android 7.1, the latest version.

Starting to wonder if this phone is even real. Maybe it's some mythical creature, like a unicorn for phones that can only be captured in the wide open pastures of LGs imagination.
