My enthusiasm is wearing off for this phone

Starting to wonder if this phone is even real. Maybe it's some mythical creature, like a unicorn for phones that can only be captured in the wide open pastures of LGs imagination.
Lol right. I just know I'm tired of LG not saying anything. At least say something. Acknowledge that there was something faulty with the hardware that's being fixed. Tell us the camera software has some bugs. Just give us something. Something besides teaser ads that continue to not tell interested consumers why we don't have the information that we should have after four weeks.

They should have never bothered having that event on September 6th.

I really wish they didn't. I sent a direct message to one of the reviewers who received a pre production unit and asked him if LG had reached out to him about when he would receive a final retail unit and he said they haven't yet. The price has to be spot on and they need to include something to entice buyers outside of the faithful bunch waiting for the phone. They didn't even tell the faithful bunch how to watch the launch event. I mean what have they done right with this launch at all?

Nope they haven't and it's sad because I want to support LG but they're making it very difficult. I mean, we're less than 3 weeks away from the rumored October 21st release and still no official word from LG....nothing at all.

Exactly. The phone is what's great but it's getting really hard to ignore the nothingness that LG is providing. The best thing about the alleged 21st release is that it is on a payday for me so I'll be able to go right in the store after work and walk out with my new beauty. I like the silver color. I hope they give us the two options at least.

Waiting a month or two is really not that bad. It could be much worse with this waiting game. Car manufacturers make you wait for almost a full year after the auto show debut, it's terrible. Yes LG could have done a better job by giving specifics, but I'm sure you'll be happy open that new box in a few weeks. Besides, good things come to those who wait, and if you're like the rest of us...we'll be playing this wait game again next year when they come out with the G6 or V21.

No I won't.lol This is my phone for the next two years. I'm out of the phone hopping game for a while given the V20 has no outstanding issues aka boot loop.

You won't know about boot loop before you commit

I know but I'm willing to trust that LG has the problem fixed or it won't happen to my unit. If it does I'll just move on from LG and that will be the end of a great run with them.

I contacted LG about the delay and their response was that they'll keep me posted on V20 updates and to stay tuned. What? WHEN?

Sounds about right. They keep posting on their Twitter yet don't give any details.

Just over two weeks until release day and still no pricing yet? I'll be so glad when this is over so I can get on with my life.lol

How could they not? But knowing them they will tease the pricing at pre-orders.lol "Stay tuned for pricing info." And they definitely failed with that bogus sign up page.

Yeah, I was more than satisfied with the Note 7 but that's over so I have to look forward and that's the V20. Problem is it's 15 days away and T-Mobile is taking their sweet time announcing anything. I guess they learned well from LG. Now I'm looking at buying an unlocked phone at Best Buy and just paying the $35 restocking fee at the 14 day mark but that only gets me to the 27th. If the phone is delayed after the 28th I could be looking at more than 1 day without a phone. Ugh. My only other option is burning a Jump but it sucks burning a Jump on a phone you know you aren't going to keep.

Don't you have a cheap backup phone or just a backup phone anyway? I never thought I needed one until my V10 went out without warning and left me disconnected for three days. It had some benefits but it was definitely weird not having a phone or a quick way anyone could reach me. That's why I got the Lumia 1020. One cause it's a classic with unparalleled hardware(at least the camera sensor) and two cause Windows Phone was my first love.

I read in a forum on another site that T-Mobile pre orders will start Monday the 17th so if true we should know pricing by then.

Nope, never picked up a backup. Had to trade in all active phones on our account when we moved to T-Mobile a little less than a year ago. And honestly up until Friday night when my GFs G4 bootlooped, I hadn't had a phone on my account (5 lines) fail or get broken in over 5 years. Being on JOD, I contacted T-mobile on Twitter Friday night, told them it bootlooped, they said they would honor the Jump because of manufacturer defect and she got a G5 about 12 hours later. Wasn't terrible at all.

Yep I learned my lesson. Got a nice little backup phone just in case. Also I've been taking a break from the V10 the last couple days just for fun. I had to get a nanoSIM adapter to make it compatible with the older Lumia 1020 but it works perfectly. You shouldn't need a backup device but as recent history is showing us(Samsung and LG), it's a good idea to have one.
