My Epic reboots daily. Any suggestions on what to do?

Details. Is it rooted? What apps have you installed? Did it start after installing a specific app? Has it been dropped or water damaged?

If you don't have any of the problems listed above then I suggest you do a factory reset or get a new Epic.

the phone reboots on my when i bend down to pick up things. Essentially, I'm accidently hitting, volume +, Camera, and Power, which reboots the phone. Maybe thats what you're doing?

Sorry... Not rooted, no new apps in some time, use touchdown daily, reboots when in standard (not touchdown) email or messaging. The phone can just be sitting there and reboot.

If I faactory resset it and reinstall the apps will the apps pick up the data that is on the sd card?

What is the best way to preserve the app data? I have backup pro. Will it restore all app data if it is backed up? Do I need to backup the sd card data to another device like a pc? Is the sdcard data encrrypted?

How do I preserve/backup the Touchwiz settings?

I am thinking I will need to get another Epic. I want to make sure I know the steps I will need to do to restore it to working condition?

It may be the data that's shutting down your phone, so restoring the data may not be best. Restoring the apps shouldn't be a problem.
