My event clock no longer works?

My event calender had worked flawlessly since I got the gear; now I can not get the event clock to show my TripIt events no matter what I do. First I reset the gear to factory default, no go.
Then I reinstalled TripIt again, no go. Finally I reset the gear and reinstalled the gear app and reinstalled TripIt. Everything else works great but when I try and use the event clock to show my TripIt calender the screen goes blank.
I'm at a loss, any suggestions?

Update, after a million tries I got up this morning and said "what the hell, give it another useless shot" and walla! My event clock now works. Haven't a clue why but it does.
