It is absolutely overpriced. Would you buy a BMW without a/c, power windows, etc. And still pay a premium.? I seriously doubt it. What the pixel does it does well. But it was a serious profit maker for Google.

I believe we've gone over this before, but if not I've shown numerous times within these forums that it is as feature rich, if not more so, than all of it's competition - but the more important thing than just a number of features, is whether or not it has the features that matter most to you (or any individual). For you, it doesn't, therefore it's price tag is unjustifiable. For others, it does.

The ZTE Axon 7 is a low price, great audio, great performance, decent to poor design, good build quality, terrible software and terrible security, etc. So depending on which aspects you value most, it can be either a great phone or a horrible one.

The Pixel XL is a high price, good audio, great performance, good design, great build quality, best software in the industry, best security in the industry, etc. So depending on which aspects you value most, it can be a great phone or a horrible one.

This process can be done with every phone on the market.

all phones are not for everyone. Truth is the Pixel is probably the highest rated Android phone so far......
In pure user experience I would rate it right up there with the iphone. The the camera is simply the best on any smartphone.

To me the bottom line is that you've been trolling about the Pixel, which you seem to hate merely because of it's pricetag, rather than because of any objective comparison of merits to those of others, for quite awhile. It should seem obviously that just because you have a subjective opinion does not necessarily mean that the other 8 billion people in the world will share that opinion. The value proposition is absolutely subjective, it's not so simple as stating gravity exists. There's not really anything more to say on that topic, so I guess we could just skip to the part where we say, "good luck with the sale!"

Also I'm sincerely glad that you found a device that you really like. That's the most important thing and the biggest reason that we as a community promote sincere discussion of the devices, etc. and the reason that I routinely say that people should want want they like, buy what they want and love what they bought. And its' why you see Google and so many other people refer to Android saying, "be together, not the same".

If you read my whole post, I went to the s7 edge and axon 7. Phones that you TRULY get you your money's worth. I did forget to mention, that while the s7 edge and pixel take great outdoor shots, the s7 edge kills the pixel on low light.

I had the Axon 7 for a while and it doesw not compare to the Pixel Xl in any way shape for form. While it is cheaper in price...it does not compare side by side in anything except sound volume...it shines in that department. Performance, camera, smooth user experience the Pixel Xl wins hands down over the Axon 7.
I have both the S7 edge and Pixel XL...the S7 edge has more features side by side....waterproofing and SD card. But that does not tell the whole story when comparing phones. The Pixel XL wins for me because it has a better blend of software and hardware that puts the user experience ahead of everything else.

But everyone has different tastes.....so enjoy your new choices.

I've said this many times: Don't make the mistake of assuming everyone else's experience matches your own. Not every positive review came from a paid shill (though, some do).

I have a 6P, my wife a S7 Edge... now, the Pixel is reported to have a better camera than the 6P (mostly it is an updated version) so going off that... the only thing her S7 Edge does better is take quicker pictures (due to a great AF system). In particular, in low light, the S7 Edge spits out an over-processed, artificial looking mess... Oh, and her S7 Edge has a habit of completely losing its network connection requiring a reboot. But that last part is not indicative of every S7 Edge, nor do I assume it does.

The Pixel is not for everyone. It just happens that it wasn't for you. Best of luck andat least you tried. To me I always understestimated Android OS but the Pixel has opened my eyes that there is such a a good thing about them. To each it's own.

I love the idea of the Axon 7, but it's not practical for me. I look at the Axon 7 in a lot of ways as being what I wanted the HTC 10 to be.

I liked the Axon 7 while I had it. Very nice phone. It failed on camera and performance for me when comparing it to my Pixel XL, S7 edge and 7+.
It had great sound.....but I have BT speakers for that.....

And if you go to iMore they will tell you iPhone destroys any phone that you named -- because to them that phone is worth more. Just like the Axon 7 is worth more to you doesn't mean the Pixel is absolutely worthless for everyone else just because you don't like it.

I bought mine in mint condition for $500 and to me it is the best $500 I spent on a smartphone to date. How is the official nougat release running on your s7e???? Oh wait, you don't have it yet. How is that constant lag you get when attaching pictures to an MMS on the stock app? How's the horrific battery life? I get about 35% more battery life on my regular pixel, not even the XL, than my s7e did.

I also beg to differ that the s7e has the best camera because I believe the camera on the pixel is even better. To each is own, my pixel never ever runs hot, where as my s7 edge did when doing "too many things"
