I wouldn't get the G1 if I were you. Don't get me wrong? I have a G1 - rooted no less. But you only get 74MB of usable memory for applications. After 70 or so apps depending on their size, you'll get hit with "low memory" warnings. The myTouch on the other hand gives you 254MB for apps. Not to mention if you can hold out a couple of months HTC will be releasing a lot of new phones that can handle the updates. The G1 might not be able to get updates beyond Eclair.
